ALline E

ALline E is a high precision in-line labelling system configured to apply front and back labels in a single pass to elliptical, rectangular and shaped products such as shampoo 'type' toiletry bottles, triggers sprays and jerry cans, to name but a few.

Precision Front & Back Linear Labelling System

ALline E is a high-performance front and back labelling system designed for line critical in-line operation.

It has been designed for optimised configuration in a modular format with an infinitely variable choice of spacing, orientation and labelling head solutions (from our ALritma and ALritma X ranges) chosen according to the products to be labelled and the performance requirements of the application.

To synchronise these elements, as standard all ALline E labelling systems include a state-of-the-art electronic encoder system. This closed-loop-system monitors all its devices in real-time, ensuring they are perfectly in-time, even when under load, or when starting or stopping the machine.

A large upper mounted touchscreen controller operates all the machines modules, with intuitive operation via a machine visual display, and complete recipe format storage containing setup parameters of all the devices, not just the labelling head, as it typical with most comparative machines.

This feature provides the advantage of complete optimisation of every product recipe setup, allowing different products to run at different conveyor speeds or product pitches (for example). It also includes all the setup adjustment values of the devices, (recorded by the standard axis dials and scales of the machine) for entirely repeatable setups between products and batches, and removing any operator setup ambiguity.

In the design of every ALline E, four essential processes are required for accurate labelling; namely Product Spacing, Product Alignment, Product Stabilisation and then Label Application.

ALline E in Detail

The choice of spacing solution is critical to machine throughput - which, when specified with our most performing labelling heads can be as much as 500 products per minute.

The standard product spacing solutions for the ALline E in order of approximate performance are:

Once correctly spaced, products must be aligned. Where a product is shaped, without a square edge, simple side guides alone are not enough.

We have a number of product pre-orientation solutions available to provide an optimal solution as follows:

Once product is orientated, it is simultaneously transferred in to the drive of a spring-loaded top stabilisation belt, driven by ultra-precise servo-motor, then transporting the product to the labelling position without movement or slippage.

At the point of transfer from the orientation module to the top stabilisation system, the product is held under the drive of both devices - allowed by the machines perfect synchronisation of its elements, ensuring orientation is maintained without tilt forward or backwards, even with a small contact point.

ALline E's robust solid base structure provides an ultra-rigid platform to ensure complete rigidity and positional continuity of its various elements - critical to consistent, repeatable, accurate labelling which is a core requirement of the machine.

It is for this reason that even when not fitted with a cabinet, all ALline E systems still include an upper trestle, hardening the top stabilising belt for increased rigidity of the whole system.

All ALline E also features standard a stainless steel top plate, (extendable) chain conveyor and an upper mounted control panel, rotateable 180 degrees (for machine operation either side of the production line), providing a user-friendly operator interface and of course inherent liquids protection.

Where required, ALline E can be specified with an enclosure and/or full stainless 304 or 316 construction - i.e. for wet or corrosive environments.

Finally, where required, ALline E can also be combined with the same module components for cylindrical product wraparound labelling as ALline C or ALline 3-roller - a feature which is particularly enhanced by the machines central management control, allowing switch over between formats quickly and easily. We call machines equipped this way ALline EC.

Proven modular print and apply label application solutions for any barcode identification/traceability requirement.
